Second Valley

Second valley and surrounds

Steep coastal cliffs, crystal clear water and fascinating geological formations help make Second Valley unforgettable. Located 91 kilometres south of Adelaide on the Fleurieu Peninsula, Second Valley is a perfect spot to take a break and relax. If relaxing is not your thing there is plenty to do, snorkelling in the crystal clear water, kayaking to Rapid Bay, exploring the local caves and hidden secluded beaches, or diving to get a glimpse of the local leafy sea dragons.

It is ideal as a Kangaroo Island stopover, only 15 mins drive from the ferry or 20 minutes from Deep Creek Conservation Park, with its spectacular scenery and bushwalks. A short drive to several stunning golf courses and plenty more to see and do.

Second Valley is divided into two parts – the old mill on the main road and, down the valley to the sea, a tiny coastal port reminiscent of a Cornish fishing village. It is a serene village with an abundance of birdlife, kangaroos and local farm animals on the hill.

Take a trip to the local Ingalalla waterfall, Talisker silvermine  or drive a bit further for a quad bike tour at Waitpinga Farm.
